Dr. Mirza is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, where she attended Case Western Reserve University on a full scholarship, earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Sociology. She then attended medical school at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, earning a combined M.D and M.P.H. degree, with a specialization in Clinical Investigation.
She completed her Internal medicine internship year at Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. before her Ophthalmology residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, where she served as a chief resident and was awarded the Silver Scalpel award for superior surgical skills.
She then worked as a comprehensive ophthalmologist in New York for two years before completing a Cornea and External Disease fellowship at Corneal Associates of New Jersey.
In 2015, Dr. Mirza joined Corneal Consultants of Colorado in the Denver area where she specialized in cataract and corneal surgery, including corneal transplants and complex cataract cases.
Dr. Mirza has an interest in global health and in 2014, she traveled to Guayaquil, Ecuador with SEE International to perform cataract surgery for underserved populations.
She recently relocated to Dallas, Texas with her husband and daughter to be closer to family, and is excited to provide quality comprehensive eye care as well as cataract and corneal surgery.
