Myopic Control
What is myopia?
Myopia Management
At Fagadau, Hawk, & Swanson, our preferred method of myopic control is the MiSight® Myopia management approach. MiSight® is a specially designed contact that is worn over a period of time to control the progression of myopia. Below are a few short videos that explain how MiSight® is changing how children see the world.
Multifocal contact lenses
Multifocal contact lenses are a great option for people with active lifestyles who want to enjoy their interests without the inconvenience of glasses. Most people who choose to wear multifocal contact lenses have presbyopia; the condition that affects our ability to see near as we age. There are many different types of multifocal contact lens options available that can correct vision up close and far away, as well as correct astigmatism.
Advancements in multifocal lens design have enabled wearers to achieve unparalleled visual performance. Like most other types of contact lenses, multifocal lenses require time to adapt. Several factors should be considered when choosing multifocal contact lenses, and your doctor will discuss the options available to you.
